Back in October of 2015 I had several inquiries for senior sessions but never took them too seriously. My frame of reference for them was that they were almost always cheesy and looked like it would be an awkward experience. I never had my portrait taken, nor was it ever on my radar that this would be a thing I would be hired to do. At the time I was inundated with weddings and had all of my gear stolen, which put me in the land of renting for each gig, so senior sessions we're just not on the table for me. When I explored the city with Michaela I just fell in love with the challenge and process of photographing just one subject instead of the usual two that I had become so accustomed to.

Some years later in 2019 I was hired again to photograph Cully (my previous blog) and since then I've been slowly inching my way towards offering this as something I specialize in (at least locally here in Peoria, Illinois.) I'm willing to travel for this as well so don't hesitate to get in touch with me!
